Dr. Murphy and his wife Martha have two children and live in the Pike Road area.
Richard M. Murphy, O.D.
Dr. Richard Murphy served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves and then in the U.S. Naval reserves prior to becoming a junior high school teacher in the Montgomery area. He then completed his optometric training at the University of Alabama in Birmingham, graduating with honors. He joined the ITEC team after 16 years in private practice in the Montgomery area. ITEC is very proud to add his expertise to our expanding team of Central Alabamašs most experienced physicians in Refractive Surgery and treatment of glaucoma and cataracts.
