CHARLES N. ROBBINS, M.D.
Before completing his undergraduate education at Memphis State University in Tennessee, Dr. Robbins served in the U.S. Navy as a fighter pilot for eight years. He received his medical degree and performed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Memphis. He began his ophthalmology practice in Montgomery in 1972.

Dr. Robbins is a Board-Certified member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery and is a two-term past President of the Alabama Academy of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Robbins began doing refractive surgery in 1984, eight years before any other ophthalmologist in Montgomery. He was the first Montgomery ophthalmologist to do an intraocular lens implant (in 1975) and the first Montgomery ophthalmologist to do a corneal transplant (in 1973). He has been interested in refractive surgery for over 20 years and has followed all the latest developments in refractive surgery. He began doing laser vision correction in February of 1997.

He and his wife Cathy live in Montgomery.
