Dr. Charles Robbins and Dr. Roy Hager have been in practice over 26 years and were the first surgeons in Montgomery to do corneal transplants and intraocular lens surgery. They have been doing refractive surgery in Montgomery since the early 1980's. They were also the first surgeons in Montgomery to perform Excimer laser surgery in their office.

ITEC surgeons are now able to do refractive surgery for patients who have myopia (nearsightedness) and astigmatism as well as patients who have hyperopia (farsightedness).

ITEC offers free one on one consultations for patients to learn more about refractive surgery. During the consultation, the options available and the benefits of refractive surgery are explained. Possible complications will also be explained. The patient's refractive error is discussed in detail and the patient will be advised regarding their visual potential without glasses. All questions will be answered.

In recent years, advances in medical eye care have made it possible for cataract surgery to be performed on an outpatient basis. According to the American Academy of Ophthalmology, ninety-five percent of patients who undergo cataract surgery have much improved vision.

Because of the "clouding" of the lens of the eye, cataracts often affect common activities such as reading and driving at night. By using new treatment that allows a quicker return to normal activities, we often hear patients say. "Seeing IS Believing!" We want to help you return to your normal lifestyle as quickly as possible.
